Writing Advocacy Copy
”Advocacy Copy” is a relatively recent term in Now Media circles. It suggests a combination of, well, advocacy and copy. Advocacy in the sense of promoting a cause or organization. Copy in the sense of getting people to take action.
“Advocacy copy” is one of those blended terms that indicates maybe the Then Media is having a hard time coming to terms with engagement. It’s not just about information. It’s about advocacy. And it’s about copy.
